We’re just a little over a month away from the start of the 2012 L.A. Auto Show. Whether you’re an automotive industry professional or not, chances are you can appreciate everything this show has to offer. Based in Los Angeles, California, the 2012 L.A. Auto Show is one of the most iconic car shows in the country drawing thousands of journalists, professionals and spectators over the course of just ten days.
How To Attend
The L.A. Auto Show kicks off their ten-day long event starting November 30th and ending on December 9th. Unlike other famous car shows that are only open to industry professionals, anyone can come to enjoy the festivities of the L.A. Auto Show. Tickets for the event can be purchased through their website or kiosks at the location for just $12 per person, which isn’t bad considering how big this show is. Be warned, though, tickets may sell out early, so don’t wait until the last minute to get yours if you’re interested in attending.
The show itself takes place inside the Los Angeles Convention Center where hundreds of cars and vehicles will be blanketing the floor. Parking is located in the South and West Halls and doesn’t cost extra for ticket holders. If you wish to have your car valet parked, however, it’s an additional $30.
Green Car of The Year
One of the most notable awards given out at the L.A. Auto Show is the Green Car of The Year. As the name suggests, this award is only given out to cars with innovate green technology and low emissions. In 2011, the Honda Civic Natural Gas won this award, and the Chevy Bolt won it in 2010. We’ll have to wait and see who wins it this year, as there are several great candidates such as the Ford Fusion, Dodge Dart Aero, Ford C-MAX, Mazda CX-5 and the Toyota Prius.
A Little Bit About The L.A. Auto Show
The L.A. Auto Show is where many car manufacturers come to unveil new cars and vehicles not only to North America, but to the world as well. If you want to be one of the first ones to set eyes on new models and car lines, you should check out the L.A. Auto Show. This annual event nearly fails to impress, as there are dozens of sports cars, concept cars, hot rods and more all for display. Of course the low ticket price of only $12 bucks doesn’t hurt their cause either.
