2014 Chevy Corevette Convertible
Earlier last week, General Motors announced plans to unveil the new 2014 Corvette at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2013. While no pictures have surfaced of the automakers most popular luxury sports car, most analysts are expecting it to have some significant changes to their previous models. Whether you’re a General Motors fan or not, you should keep your eyes peeled for the 2014 Corvette, as it’s certain to create quite a stir in the auto industry.

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette has been given the unofficial name of “C7” as a result of it being the seventh generation Corvette. The first generation of Corvettes was released back in 1953 and continued until 1962. With the success of their original model, Chevrolet continued to expand and improve on both the look and power of their highly-popular line of luxury sports cars. Several new and improved generations of Corvettes followed, with the latest being released in 2005.

As stated above, Chevrolet has kept things quite regarding the C7 thus far. You can spend hours surfing the internet, but unfortunately you’re not going to come up with any official photos of the design or look of the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. However, I think it’s say to safe that we’ll most likely see a powerful, fuel-injected V-8 engine under the hood for maximum horsepower.

Until the Detroit auto show rolls around next year, we simply won’t know what’s in store for the 2014 Corvette. With that said, there is one thing that’s certain to be changed - the Corvette logo. Ever since the first line of Corvettes were designed and released back in 1953, the company kept the original logo attached to their cars, but this is all going to change come 2014. We can still expect to see the crossed flas emblem, but it’s going to have more detail with an emphasis on technical precision over its predecessor. A spokesperson for Chevrolet made an annoucement to the press stating that their decision to redesign the Corvette emblem was an effort to keep the line up to date and and on the forefront of the technological changes.
