One of the great things about interior car modifications is that its highly unlikely to cause a negative affect on your cars performance. If you don’t have much, or any, experience in car modifications, it’s usually best to start with the interior. Here we’ll take a look at some easy interior car modifications that just about anyone can do, regardless of what make or model your vehicle is.
New Seat Covers
Something as simple as new seat covers can make a world of difference in the overall style and look of your car. If you don’t like the basic seats offered by your car’s manufacturer, then find a company who will custom make one for you. There are dozens of companies out there who specialize in custom seat covers. All you have to do is tell them what type of seats you have and what you want on your cover. If you want a certain logo or graphic on them, you can usually send the company an email containing the image to use on your seat cover.
TV Screens
In the past, portable TV screens would cost $500 or more for a single unit installed in your car. Times have changed, though, and now they can be purchased for about $70 bucks a piece. If you really want to add a taste of luxury to your car, consider adding a couple of TV screens and portable DVD players built into the backs of your front seats. Obviously, you won’t be able to enjoy them while driving, but passengers riding in the back can. You can also install an Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 for your passengers to enjoy on the TVs as well.
Stereo System
While you can’t watch DVDs or play Xbox games while driving, you can enjoy the use of a new stereo system. Depending on how much “kick” you want it to have, you may want to consider installing an amplifier and subwoofers in addition to the CD/MP3 player. Remember, though, 10 to 12-inch subwoofers can easily take up most of your car’s trunk space, leaving you with little room to store your belongings in.
Interior Lights
Have you ever seen a car driving down the road with neon interior lights? Although the laws regarding their use vary from state-to-state, neon interior lights are an inexpensive and unique way to add style to your car. You can set up just a few extra bulbs or go all out with an entire array of lights.
